We have built a 1400 sq ft tin shed in Dalanwala, Dehradun. This shed is formed due to the moisture and heat of the roof. In this we have used Apollo pipes and sheets in which all the pipes are of 1.2 mm sheet thickness and sheets are of .45 mm. The paint on it is Asian Enamel Light Grey.
In this we have placed a 4 inch x 2 inch rafter directly on top of a 9 feet pillar which is 4 inches square. This is because if the client wants to make a room, the rafter can be easily removed. The height has been kept low so that water does not enter from the sides. We have installed 3 side drains with 3 down pipes. We have installed all PVC pipes in it from Supreme.

There is a sliding sheet to access the mummy so that maintenance work can be done easily and a mummy shed has been installed at a height of 6.5 feet. There is an overlap of 1.5 feet on all sides so that water does not come inside.
Now cement gola has to be made on the joints of wall and sheet so that there is no leakage from the wall. The shed has been made in 3 slopes according to the height of the house so that the outline of the house looks better. We have charged Rs. 160 per feet and Rs. 7000 separately for installing down pipes.

We are getting all the projects with engineers only, don’t know whether this is good or bad. Ajay Bisht is an engineer by profession and we got the opportunity to work at his place. A client has come from Chandigarh that day, and madam came to discuss our for their house renovation and paid advance at the same time. Madam was clear about what she wanted. We are mentioning the scope of work in the below points.
The kitchen area had to be developed, the roof had to be extended there and the kitchen had to be developed on top of it.
There was an open terrace outside so there was a leakage issue, it had to be converted into a hall.
It was to be developed like a party hall which would have an open kitchen and a powder room.
Mussoorie view was not available from above, so the roof had to be extended and a deck type structure was made above so that the view could be obtained.
We had to do all the plumbing, tiles, masonry, fabrication and electrical work from start to end. This project was mostly in prefabrication.
Later, we also had to build an entry ramp for them. It was difficult as all this work had to be done during the rainy season.
It took us more time to complete the project because of the rain. We had the issue of leakage which wasted a lot of our time because the side wall was dead from the neighbour’s end and was getting wet again and again. We have installed this tin shed on canal road Dehradun for Upendra Singh Ji. This is a tin shed of total 2600 sqft in which a 5 kilo watt solar panel will be installed on the south facing side of the upper shed. The shed has been designed with this strength in mind. This post may be useful to you for prefabrication and light-weight construction. In this you can see how heavy water tanks and solar can be kept on top of the shed, we have completed this project on the banks of Ganga at Tapowan in Rishikesh which includes 3200sqft Tin Shed, 6000 liter water tank stand and 2000 liter solar geyser facility.

This is a prefab shed, in which prefabricated rooms will be made, in it all the pillars will be concealed in the brick. There will be gypsum ceiling at the bottom of the truss which will also have soundproofing and weatherproofing facility and will give the feel of a civil house, nowadays it is better to do prefabricated construction on the top level. According to the room layout these pillars have been cast. This is also easy because the pillar plate is welded to the column’s bar. The clear height of the shed was kept at 9.5ft and after ceiling the client would get a height of 9ft. Center height of shed is 12.5ft. In this, trusses have been placed at a gap of 10 feet.
Initially there was no confirmation of placing the solar overhead that the party had planned at the end moment, otherwise the truss in the solar wale shed is placed at a distance of 7ft and the backside part of the solar geyser is where the tank remains above it. it is very good. Solar geyser cost Rs. 60,000 per 500 liter in which 50% of your money is returned as subsidy, where 4 units are installed the cost is Rs. 2 lakh 40,000. Talking about the water tank stand here, this tank is of 1,000 liters and its stand is at least 160 sqft. it costs Rs. 8,000 per tank. There are 6 tanks here so this stand party costs Rs 50,000. We charged Rs. 170 per square feet for the shed, because access to material here is a bit costly and this work is done on the 3rd floor, otherwise our standard rate is Rs 150/per sqft. Our experience with Party was very good, we worked hard and made a lot of changes during the work, which was a bit difficult, but our expert welders handled the challenges well and completed this project.
The party also liked this work, he also got the glazing and elevation work done, the updated video of which we will put on the channel soon. All the material in it is APL Apollo 18 Gouge and the sheet applied on top of the shed is of .45mm JSW Brick Red color. Gutters are of white color which are specially customized because more than 1,000 sqft area water is coming in the gutter, for that there should be a gutter of at least 6in by 4in.
This project was completed in 1 month because the water tank stand was made by taking out pillars from the shed. You can see the height of the water tank in it, it is 7ft higher than the shed top level which can provide proper supply to the tank of the solar geyser installed on the shed and also maintain the water pressure.
Also keep this in mind, the distance from tank to tank should be at least 6ft, here the gap should be a little less, because the truss was at our place, we told you earlier also that there should be a gap of 7ft between the trusses to help and better. ho jata. In this we have given glazing on the side in which we have placed a glass openable. In this we have used 4mm glass with blue tint.The sheet is Tata brand Infinia whose thickness is .45mm. Minimum slope is given in it. The shade does not look good if it is given too much slope.In the tin shed, we have given PVC Gutters which are of Supreme brand. The shade sheet color is white and off white color is used on the structure.
Mukesh Barthwal ji is our client from Dehradun, he has built a floor above old construction for which we have done complete fabrication work. In this, first of all we increased the size of the balcony at the back of ground floor, it was very less we increased it from 2.5 feet to 5 feet. In the metal floor, we made grid of one and a half feet by 2 feet and welded a 3 mm metal sheet over it. On top of that, they put tiles.
Next we provided 3 feet by 1 feet steps in Staircase. In this, after four steps, we provided a ramp and then took Jeena straight to the terrace. It cost only ₹40,000 to the client and it was made into a complete Apollo MS hollow pipe.
After metal floor & staircase we installed the 3ft high railing on first floor and 1.5 feet high on the top floor. The design of CNC used which is connected to nature and is made of 3 mm MS sheet.
We advised Barthwal ji to reduce the cost of 80 rft railing which costing him ₹80,000, because the construction contractor can provide the parapet in the construction budget. So we ordered his contractor to give 1.5ft solid concrete parapet over the 1st floor roof. Then we installed the railing of 1.5ft high and that reduced the railing budget by 40%. It cost less money but looked better than the ground floor railing.
Barthwal ji wanted transparent Pergola on the front side so that his windows could be covered from rain and the elevation of his house could also be improved. For this, we gave them a cost effective solution in which polycarbonate 2 mm sheet were installed over 3/3 ft MS Grid. In this, hollow pipes of 3 inches by 1.5 inches were used and the pillars installed were 4 inches square.

At the front of the Pergola, we cut the pipe into the design to create tails and also installed gutters so that all the water can flow towards the staircase. This pergola cost the client ₹275 per square foot.
We have also provided Khaprail shed at left side balcony of the building. That is 34ft wide with 3.5 ft projection. We used .5mm Khaprail sheet with Gray Stone Finish. Cost of this raincover was ₹ 220 per sqft.

Shed roofing has become common in cities like Dehradun where it rains heavily. But there are some problems in it like it makes a lot of noise while raining, heats up a lot and security issue. There are 3 main solutions for sound proofing. Whose costing and look will be different.
We have built many houses in the last few days, in which we put 6mm Cement Fiber Board on the framing of the shed and put sheets over it. You know Cement Fiber Board is a weather proof product and the thickness has been kept 6mm so that minimum weight comes on the shed framing structure. In this, 3in b 1.5in rafters have to be provided for purlin, whose weight ranges from 10kg to 13kg. Due to this there is no flexibility in the shed, so there is no crack in the ceiling below.

In this, the lower rafters are visible, on which you have to paint enamel, in this the lights are also installed on the walls only. You can’t even tighten the wiring of the lights and the slope of the roof also looks similar from below. Due to this, there is a difference of Rs. 30 per square feet in the price of shed.
Gypsum Paneling Sheet is another material used for heatproof in tin sheds. Its sealing looks great, and removes all complications. Its 6ft by 4ft sheets come, which can be fitted on aluminum frame. All the wiring will also be done in it, the incandescent lights will also be installed and it remains cool. Talking about its cost, it will cost you around Rs.70 per square feet. If you go with the design then the cost can also increase. Below you can see the work of gypsum ceiling which we have done on Rajpur road.
The third and cheapest option is grid ceiling, in which a grid of 2ft by 2ft is made. Gypsum sheets or Therma-coal are used in this and it costs Rs.45 per square feet. It is suitable for office, its look is cheap at home, if you want, you can do PVC ceiling by keeping Therma-coal on top.
