Red oxide metal primer acts as a preparatory or protective coating that prevents rust formation on the ferrous metal surfaces exposed to humidity and air.
The rule is that as soon as the fabrication material delivered at the site, first of all primer should be done. When the work of welding is done, wherever the primer is uprooted, it should be re-applied there. This is done by mixing Tarpin oil.
